Between Water and Land
£140.00

Part of the By the Sea collection, this is one of the final two available works from the series. Created with mixed media and sand collected from the beach, it was inspired by summer walks along North Bay in Scarborough and the shifting meeting point between sea, sky, and land.

The grain of the sand, the rhythm of the shoreline, and the powerful presence of the North Sea beneath an infinite sky all shaped this piece. It explores the in-between space where the conscious mind meets the unconscious, a place of constant movement and change, much like the shore itself.

After 16 years of living by the sea, I found myself endlessly drawn to the peace and comfort it offers, as well as the humbling feeling of standing before something so vast.

The Gateway
£150.00

One of the earlier works in the journey towards abstraction, The Gateway was the first piece inspired by the feeling of the sea and water rather than a direct landscape. The layered circular form draws the eye inward, creating a hypnotic sense of movement that feels both expansive and deeply centred.

Inspired by the North Sea in winter, the blues and silvery tones carry the cool, reflective atmosphere of water beneath a pale sky. Unlike the warmth of gold often found in later works, the silver here brings a distinctly wintery presence, evoking stillness and depth.

The work invites its own question: what would it open, and where might it take you?
A threshold, a portal, or simply a feeling, it leaves space for personal reflection and the sense of being drawn towards something just beyond the visible.

Sea Froth
£140.00

Part of the By the Sea collection, this is one of the final two available works from the series. Created with mixed media and sand collected from the beach, it was inspired by cold winter walks along the Scarborough coast, when the wind lifts the sea into a shimmering dance of froth across the shore.

The shifting movement of sea foam, the textured presence of the sand, and the fleeting patterns created by the elements all shaped this piece. It holds the captivating energy of those bright, windy days when the cold air sharpens the senses and the ever-changing surface of the shoreline makes each moment feel worth pausing for.

Sand, for me, has always carried something of the passage of time, constantly shifting, rearranging, and forming new patterns. This work holds that sense of movement and change, inviting appreciation of the moment as it is.

All That Is All That Is

All That Is
£150.00

One of the earlier works in the shift towards abstraction within my practice.
At its centre is the circle, one of the oldest and most powerful forms, carrying ideas of wholeness, infinite force, continuity, and return.

The textured gold surface brings confidence and a sense of abundance, set against a deep red ground that adds strength and presence. Together, the colours hold something both grounding and expansive, inviting reflection on potential, energy, and all that can emerge from a single point of focus.

As the light changes throughout the day, the gold catches the sun in a captivating way, bringing the surface to life and allowing new details to emerge.
