I create from truth,
not from
urgency.”

Ela Bochenek is an intuitive abstract artist, born in Poland, who spent 16 years living by the sea in North Yorkshire before recently relocating to Cheshire.

Working with mixed media and natural materials, she creates layered, textural worlds that become emotional landscapes shaped by her response to nature and the shifts within.

Her work is deeply shaped by personal experiences, yet what moves through each piece often carries a universal resonance, touching something familiar in the inner lives we all share.

Ela’s art encourages slowing down, pausing, and looking beneath the surface.

Each piece becomes a companion and witness to everyday moments, growing richer over time as it becomes part of the life around it.

“My process is intuitive and layered.
I don’t follow strict steps.

Each piece begins differently and often surprises me as it develops.”
